Since UPS employees is highly dependent on the use of information and communication technology (ICT), each employee is expected to be knowledgeable with the use of modern communication equipments which includes UPS official website and the use of handheld Delivery Information Acquisition Devices (DIAD) (UPS c). Basically, the use of these electronic gadgets will make it easier on the part of each employee to manage, operate, and keep track of its daily business transactions such as the shipment and delivery schedules around the world on a real-time basis. Given that the main task of UPS employee is very complex in nature, managers are responsible in ensuring that each employee is highly motivated to deliver fast and reliable customer service at all times.
